In 2017, the same year she embarked on her studies at Nova Southeastern University, she discovered that she was five months pregnant. It was a moment that almost led her to give up on her dreams, as she candidly admitted on her Facebook page, saying, “I sincerely almost gave up! The Devil really had me.” She went on to reveal that the journey had been an arduous one, stating that, “Nothing would have prepared me for this journey that I’ve been through… the program began with 26 people and now just 17 of us will be graduating.”

Her program director suggested that she should postpone her studies in 2017 and return in 2018 to complete her degree. She knew it would be nearly impossible to finish her studies with two infants by her side, but she persevered, stating, “I went to class every day, ɩіteгаɩɩу until the day I gave birth to my two girls, and honestly, I was determined to finish.”
